Depressed Basilisk

Ever heard of those mythical creatures, basilisks? One look at them and you’re petrified. One jab of their venomous beak and your blood turns to acid, eating and withering your flesh inside out.

Got that? Now, imagine a depressed, suicidal basilisk. Would it be as simple as nibbling on himself in front of a mirror?

The painting reproduction used as a feature image and the source of inspiration for this particular scribble is a work of the Czech pop-surrealist artist Jan Kottman who has kindly let me use it here. For more information on Jan and his paintings, please visit his web – you sure won’t regret if you liked this one.
